Point thresholds for the Rector’s Scholarship – academic year 2025/2026

Each year, one of the most frequently asked questions regarding the Rector’s Scholarship concerns the number of points required to obtain it. Although the final decision always depends on the results of the entire selection procedure, an analysis of data from previous years may help to better understand how the point thresholds varied across individual fields of studies and years of studies.
Below are the point thresholds from which it was possible to obtain the Rector’s Scholarship in the 2025/2026 academic year (excluding the summer semester). The point threshold denotes the number of points obtained by the last person to whom the scholarship was awarded for a given field and year of studies. To obtain the benefit, it was necessary to achieve at least this number of points and to meet the remaining conditions set out in the rules and regulations.

In Column B, which lists the indicated years of stud, the first year of first-cycle studies and the first year of long-cycle studies are not included, as for this group this type of scholarship is granted to every person who, in the year of taking the final secondary school examination, is: a) a laureate of an international olympiad or the laureate or finalist of a central-level olympiad, as referred to in the legislation on the education system, or b) a medalist in a sports competition for at least the title of Polish Champion in a given sport, as referred to in the regulations on sports, provided that this achievement was obtained in the period from the beginning of attending secondary school until the last day of the deadline for submitting applications for the Rector’s Scholarship. For these persons, no point threshold applies. Any person who meets the above criteria and has submitted an application shall be awarded the Rector’s Scholarship.
