Frequently Asked Questions
1) Can the “Scholarship to Start for Olympians” be awarded based on a finalist title?
Unfortunately, no. To receive the “Scholarship to Start for Olympians”, you must meet one condition – i.e., hold the title of laureate of an olympiad, which was used to obtain the maximum number of points in the admissions process for your study program. Therefore, the scholarship cannot be awarded to laureates who only received partial admission credits or to finalists.
2) Are decisions issued regarding the scholarship applications?
No, decisions are not issued – applying for the “Scholarship to Start” is not an administrative procedure under the Administrative Procedure Code. Scholarship recipients receive commemorative diplomas, and applications submitted by ineligible candidates are left unconsidered. There is no procedure for appealing a decision regarding non-award of the scholarship.
3) Can I receive the “Scholarship to Start” and the “Rector’s Scholarship” at the same time?
Yes, this is possible.
4) Do I lose the ‘Start Scholarship’ if I lose student status?
Yes, if you lose your student status during the academic year for which the scholarship was awarded, the scholarship must be returned.
